Posted by communityprospects on February 13, 2013

The Women’s Empowerment Project will be holding an Information Day on the 23rd of Februrary, at Putney Library.

Shalom House Project is one of TWEP’s latest international development programs. Shalom House Project will  provide a refuge for sex workers in Ghana; the project will target girls between the ages of 13-23 who are currently engaged in the trade.

Shalom House will provide counselling, health screening and vocational skills for those young girls and women who want to change their lifestyle and acquire new skills in order to earn alternative incomes.

Posted by Coman Communications on July 23, 2012

Six women took part in The Women’s Empowerment Project Make a Move initiative and learnt to swim.   The free course, supported by the People’s Health Trust, taught participants how to swim a width unaided.    One participant said they were now looking forward to the summer holidays, and instead of watching their children and family in the water, they would be able to join them.
